Businesses displaying this sign at their place of business or on their websites have agreed to accept a local currency called the PLENTY in at least partial payment for goods or services they provide. By doing so, they are helping promote local commerce, fair wages, environmental responsibility, self-reliance, and neighborliness. If you would like to find out more about the PLENTY, please look here.

Each business determines its own PLENTY acceptance policy. A business may choose to accept PLENTYs for only a certain percentage of the total cost or to accept it only for purchases above a certain value or on specific days or for specific goods or services.

How much is a PLENTY worth?

Like any currency, the value of the PLENTY is based on market forces and what people generally are willing to trade for a PLENTY. There is, however, a US dollar equivalent established for tax purposes. Each denomination has the following US equivalent value:

1 PLENTY = $10.00
1/2 PLENTY = $5.00
1/4 PLENTY = $2.50

How do I get PLENTYs to spend?
